The school was initially run in a barrack given by CRPF inside the land given by them. Mr.N.S.Vasudevan,IPS was the first Chairman ,VMC and the school was managed by Mr.M.T.Sivarama Subramanian, the In-Charge Principal in the beginning.
A new school building was constructed by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and the foundation stone for the new building was laid by Mr.P.G.Halarnkar,IPS cum Director General, CRPF on 28.4.1989..
The new school building was inaugurated by His Excellency Dr.M.Channa Reddy, the then Governor of Tamil Nadu on 24.08.1993. Earlier eleven staff-quarters were constructed in 1988..
